Cognitive decline associate with lifestyle, disease and perioperative status are common, especially in an aging population. The socioeconomic implications of these cognitive disorders are profound; cognitive decline is associated with a loss of independence, a reduction in the quality of life, and death. We are interested to assess the cognitive decline associated with surgical factors in the peri operative period – quantifying the loss of quality of life and cognitive decline in various fields like Neurosurgery, Breast Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.
