Research Summary
My areas of expertise include general and colorectal surgery, and training in these areas.
Specific research interests include colorectal cancer, anorectal diseases (haemorrhoids & fistulas), inflammatory bowel disease, value-based decision-making, oppressive behaviours in the workplace, and advocacy for women in the workplace.
I have an extensive international network through leadership roles in various surgical colleges, training boards and associations. In these roles, I work to advance surgical standards, and fairness in the workplace.

- Clinicopathological differences in inflammatory bowel disease in Malaysia
- Laser technologies for treatment of haemorrhoids and fistulas
- Surgical workplace culture and gender equity in Malaysia
