Brain Injury is an external or internal disruption of brain homeostasis resulting in physical, functional or cognitive changes to the central nervous system. I am specifically interested in 3 different causes of brain injury \u2013 namely, Epilepsy, Brain tumors and Traumatic Brain injury.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The pathophysiology of Brain Injury works via similar pathways of genetic, biochemical and structural damage. My aim is to study these causative mechanisms to establish improved diagnostics, prognostics as well as therapeutic interventions in minimizing the long term outcome of Brain Injury<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Development of advanced radiological identifiers for intractable epilepsy and aid surgical planning<\/li>
  • Identify Radiogenomic signatures of high grade gliomas for diagnosis, surgical planning and prognostication<\/li>
  • Develop extra-CNS \u00a0biomarkers for early identification of metastases<\/li>
  • Develop radiogenomic prognosticators for structural damage in TBI<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
