Local research capacity has to be improved in tandem to provide appropriate diagnostic and treatment options to patients suited to our local conditions. In the Department of Surgery, we have concentrated out research work on multiple NCDs like:<\/p><ul><li>Trauma \u2013 Brain Trauma, Cardiothoracic trauma, Abdominal trauma<\/li><li>Obesity<\/li><li>Smoking, alcohol and drug related disorders<\/li><li>Epilepsy, Parkinson\u2019s and other Neurological disorders<\/li><li>Chronic inflammatory
